She needs to see me.

I have no idea what she means. But she is ten feet tall. So I will, uh, go along. I'll go along.

Other news?

Yeah, there's other news. Let me see.

Since I last diarised, the following has happened:

  • I wrote 0 words for this year's Nanowrimo. This was substantially less than my projected target of 50,000. Then again, I was a lot more depressed in November than I expected to be.
  • I have recorded half of fifteen tunes. Which is to say, I have fifteen bass parts and drum parts waiting for fifteen guitars and fifteen vocals. Or thirty vocals. Depends. Possibly some bits of piano.
  • I have a Whole New Plan for the band. I'll be telling you about it in due course.
  • Last week, my homeopathic aunt gave me a homeopathic mixture to be taken in goes of four drops four times a day. I suspect her of putting ground up Prozac in that shit or something. I've been on a manic phase ever since.
  • Why yes, that was the week I did all that recording and came up with that whole new plan. Since you ask.
  • Twenty years ago, or so, I was introduced to Courtney Pine, who my Dad had cornered in Ronnie Scott's, on the basis that we all came from North-West London. Courtney Pine told me then, and I have never forgotten, that it is necessary to practice every scale in every key.
  • For the last month or so, finally, after twenty years of pretending I hadn't already been told this and basically ignoring it, I have been practicing every scale in every key.
  • Courtney Pine is right.
  • That'll do
  • No, wait. She needs to see me. WTF?

Your top-ten list is only eight by debacle (4.00 / 1) #1 Mon Dec 05, 2005 at 09:31:08 PM EST
And I only understand one of them.

So confused.

The last two are filler.

Either way, it looks like you understand more of it than I do.

I take it there's no chance of a write-in then, to help fill out the other four.

Oh well.

So she's, like, one atom of your mother's sister mixed into a body that is otherwise a total stranger?

Just a regular aunt.

But she's into homeopathy. And sub-editing.

She says it's mustard, wild oat and rock water. Whatever it is, it seems to work. I'm not complaining.
